Created by ceramic artist Mitsuo Kaneda at the Nanten Kiln, this Yōhen Nanten Red Tea Bowl is the actual work exhibited in a two-artist exhibition held in London in 2007.

For this overseas exhibition, Kaneda personally selected from among the freshly fired works those displaying particularly beautiful and vivid coloration.

With its deep reddish-brown tones and delicate variations created by the firing process, this beautiful matcha tea bowl evokes the rich colours of autumn leaves.

Œuvre exposée à Londres en 2007   Mitsuo Kaneda

Réalisé par le céramiste Mitsuo Kaneda au four Nanten, ce bol à thé Yōhen Nanten est l’œuvre originale présentée lors d’une exposition réunissant deux artistes à Londres en 2007.

Pour cette exposition à l’étranger, Mitsuo Kaneda a lui-même sélectionné, parmi les pièces sorties du four, celles dont les couleurs obtenues à la cuisson étaient particulièrement belles et éclatantes.

Avec ses profondes nuances rouge-brun et ses délicates variations de couleur créées par la cuisson, ce magnifique bol à matcha évoque les riches couleurs des feuillages d’automne.

陶芸家・金田充夫が南天窯で制作した「窯変南天赤茶碗」。

2007年、ロンドンで開催された他の作家との二人展に出品された現物です。

海外での展示にあたり、金田氏自身が窯から焼き上がった作品の中から、特に色の発色が美しいものを選びました。

窯の炎によって生まれた深みのある赤褐色と繊細な色の変化が、秋の紅葉を思わせる美しい抹茶茶碗です。
