Vermilion Silk Haori with Elaborate Bird Embroidery and Stylized Mountain Motifs

This striking haori features a rich vermilion ground decorated with bold, overlapping motifs reminiscent of mountain ranges.

Two birds with outstretched wings are depicted on the back in exceptionally intricate embroidery, combining vividly coloured silk threads with gold thread. Each feather is carefully articulated through subtle variations in colour, texture and stitching direction, creating a remarkable sense of depth and movement.

The luminous embroidery contrasts beautifully with the strong geometric rhythm of the background. Inside, a delicately painted floral lining in soft, muted tones introduces an unexpected note of refinement.

Haori en soie vermillon aux oiseaux finement brodés et aux motifs de montagnes stylisées
