In 2010, the traditional production techniques of Yuki-tsumugi were inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

This Hirayuki tsumugi features a modern checkered pattern woven in varying shades of purple. Yuki tsumugi is a traditional textile designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan. Because the threads are spun by hand, one by one, from raw silk, and woven using traditional techniques, it requires a great deal of time and advanced skills. This handcrafted work contributes to the rarity and high value of Yuki tsumugi. The fabric, made from threads spun from raw silk, is light, soft, and warm, and becomes more comfortable with each wear. Although it is a very expensive textile, Yuki tsumugi is considered "the finest everyday wear", a stylish garment for daily life. 

* Hira-Yuki – Traditional Japanese Silk Weaving, it refers to a fabric woven using the traditional plain-weave technique (hira-ori) characteristic of Yuki-tsumugi.The silk threads are carefully drawn by hand from silk floss (mawata), using only the fingertips. These untwisted threads retain their natural softness.

As the threads trap a generous amount of air, the resulting fabric is exceptionally lightweight, warm, and supple, offering remarkable comfort when worn. Renowned for its refined texture and exceptional qualities, Yuki-tsumugi is often referred to as "the King of Tsumugi."

En 2010, les techniques traditionnelles de fabrication du Yūki-tsumugi ont été inscrites sur la Liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité de l’UNESCO.

Ce tsumugi Hirayuki présente un motif à carreaux moderne tissé dans différentes nuances de violet. Le tsumugi Yuki est un textile traditionnel classé Bien culturel immatériel important du Japon. Filé à la main, fil à fil à partir de soie brute, et tissé selon des techniques traditionnelles, sa fabrication exige beaucoup de temps et un savoir-faire exceptionnel. Ce travail artisanal contribue à la rareté et à la grande valeur du tsumugi Yuki. Ce tissu, confectionné à partir de fils de soie brute, est léger, doux et chaud, et devient plus confortable au fil du temps. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un textile très coûteux, le tsumugi Yuki est considéré comme un vêtement de tous les jours d'une grande élégance.

* Hira-Yūki – Tissage traditionnel de soie japonaise, il désigne un tissu réalisé selon la technique traditionnelle de l’armure toile (hira-ori), caractéristique du Yūki-tsumugi.

Les fils de soie, délicatement étirés à la main à partir de bourre de soie (mawata), sont utilisés sans torsion, conservant ainsi toute leur douceur naturelle.

Grâce à leur structure qui emprisonne une grande quantité d’air, ces fils confèrent au tissu une légèreté, une chaleur et une souplesse exceptionnelles, offrant un confort remarquable.

Apprécié pour la finesse de sa texture et ses qualités uniques, le Yūki-tsumugi est souvent surnommé « le roi des tsumugi ».

2010年、結城紬の伝統的な製作技術はユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録されました。

紫の濃淡で織られたモダンな格子柄の平結城です。

結城紬は、国の重要無形文化財にも指定されている伝統的な織物として知られています。真綿から糸を一本ずつ手で紡ぎ、昔ながらの技法で丁寧に織り上げるため、多くの時間と高度な技術を必要とします。こうした手仕事は、結城紬の希少性と高い価値につながっています。

真綿から紡いだ糸による生地は、軽く、やわらかく、温かみがあり、着るほどに身体になじんでいきます。

やわらかな風合いは、軽く、温かく、着るほどに体になじんでいきます。

大変高価な織物ですが、結城紬は「極上の普段着」とも言われる日常のおしゃれ着です。

* 平結城（ひらゆうき）

平結城とは、結城紬の伝統的な平織りの技法によって織られた織物です。

真綿から指先で丁寧に引き出した、撚りをかけない柔らかな糸を用いて織り上げられます。

糸が空気を豊かに含むため、軽く、温かく、しなやかな着心地が特徴です。

その優れた風合いと着心地から、結城紬は「紬の王様」とも称されています。
